Co-Curricular - Performing & Creative Arts

The college has a proud history of putting on established, polished productions. The college musical is produced ever two years. The musical provides an opportunity for all performing arts areas to combine their gifts and talents for the community.

Vocal Ensemble (MCCK AMPLIFY)
The vocal ensemble focuses on small groups of singers performing a range of repertoire. The students are provided with a variety of vocal challenges that they engage in during the year to improve their performance skills. Year 7 students entering the college have the opportunity to audition for the ensemble. Once selected they form their own ensemble group. 
This ensemble caters for students who want to develop their skills on their instrument playing in an ensemble. All instruments are welcomed in the ensemble and creates a fun environment to engage in a range of styles and performance opportunities.
Liturgical Ensemble 
This is a combination of singers and instrumentalists who perform at the college masses and liturgies during the year.
Drama Ensemble
The drama ensemble in a group of students in Years 7 – 10 who a provided an opportunity to enhance and develop their skills in a variety of performance opportunities.
Dance Company
Dance Company provides an opportunity for experienced dance students who have a passion for extending and developing their talents with an experienced dance teacher. 
Dance Company is split into two groups. Company J (Years 7 – 9) and Company S (Years 10 – 12). The company competes in a selection of local Eisteddfods’ though out the year. The company also competes at the PDSSSC Dance Event held at the Joan Sutherland Centre in Penrith.
Visual Arts Exhibition Evening
The Visual Arts exhibition will be held in November in our school hall. This annual event showcases all the wonderful creative ideas our students create using a variety of materials and expressive forms from 7 to 12. Every year our Visual Arts students produce excellent HSC results and this is an event not to be missed
MCCAF is the “Marian College Creative Arts Festival”. The event combines all performing art’s disciplines in a night of high energy and entertainment.

HSC Dance, Drama and Music Evening
These evenings give the opportunity for Year 12 students to display their HSC works for their parents and the community before their exams. These events are held in July and August.
Music Instrumental Tuition
This program caters for students wishing to improve their skills on a particular instrument. Lessons occur during class time for half an hour once a week on a rotating schedule. Fees are paid to the instrumental tutor who will invoice you at the commencement of each term.
